Is it possible to connect 5 computer case fan?

Posted by admin On November - 30 - 2009

I don’t know if it’s possible to connect 5 computer case fans. My new case is coming with 5 fans pre-installed. They are all molex I believe. Would any power supply have enough molex connectors to power all them?

The molex connectors can be "daisy chained" (hooked together in series) with each one plugged in to the next one. So only one or two molex connectors from your power supply are used if necessary.

I am wanting a new computer case. Which is the best £50 case that there is? Around that price, can go up to about £60. Thanks,
Please don’t tell me to go to Newegg, as they don’t ship to the UK!

£50? Just go to newegg, they will have the best deals

I have an average sized computer, not an old huge one, but not a slim one like those mini hp’s.

How do I know which PSU will fit in my case?

Almost all new ones are standard size.

just make sure it fits the connection of your motherboard, if you buy new one it should fit.

buy 600 W , don’t forget. barely enough will waste your money.

I just bought a new motherboard and have been trying to get it up and running. The technical support guy told me to take the motherboard out of the computer case and sit it on a piece of cardboard and see if it boots. Sure enough, it does. But now what? I would like to put the motherboard back in my case. Do I need to buy a new one or is there something I can do?

Chances are that if you look at the space between your case and your motherboard, you’ll see a spot where metal contacts metal. That spot needs to go away. I’d suggest calling one of your suppliers to make sure that they can approve of the alteration before actually voiding any warantees. Good luck!

Will my computer case and motherboard work this way?

Posted by admin On November - 18 - 2009

Ok i am going to buy a new motherboard with 2 pci express X16 2.0 and i am going to sli 2 cards with the mother board but my computer case has room for four pci slots and i need a motherboard with pci slots x 16 2.0 right next to each other cuz my computer case has room for four cards and all the mother boards have 6 pci slots and the ones I want are to far.

Woahhh slow down there….

your tower can take MATX boards then. This means micro ATX, so its smaller than the standard ATX.

Also SLI on these is pretty rare, so get searching :P

So i just installed Windows 7, and now well the sound comes out of my computer box as well as out of my speakers… How can i stop this?

Dont ask me how the hell sound is coming out of the case, i really have no clue, and im not drunk or high…

Thanks

PS: When i say sound, i mean MUSIC, youtube videos, sound from games, every sound/music that normaly comes out of my speakers, also comes out of my computer tower…

Also i have an IBM computer.

If you are not drunk or high then maybe I am !!
that’s odd
w”ooohaaaaaaaaaaa

OK …
many IBM and old HP computers have internal speaker inside the tower
it must be muted when you connect external speakers.

I don’t care what made it work suddenly on win7, just open the tower and disconnect it.

My boyfriend has an antec p160 computer case that he built and the led lights in the front went out. Where can I get new led lights or a new front case to replace the old one?

Call around, almost any electronics repair shop should be able to replace the led’s for you.

What drill bit do I use for computer case metal?

Posted by admin On November - 1 - 2009

I want to drill some holes in my computer case, what type of drill bit do I need to use?
I kinda guessed a metal drill bit, but is there a more specific name for this metal drill bit I need to use?

You may want to post this in a different catagory, but I think a bit made for drilling metal would be best but a wood bit will work. (it’ll take a little longer and be harder to drill but cases are thin anyway)
